Twinco, part of Zephyr Group, appointed distributor for Liebherr fuel injection components
At SMM 2026, the world’s leading trade fair for the maritime industry, Liebherr signs a cooperation agreement with Twinco Pte. Ltd. The event marks Liebherr-Components’ first partnership with an independent distributor for its fuel injection in Asia and significantly expands its reach across the maritime engine aftermarket.
Singapore, 7. September 2026 – With the signing of the cooperation agreement at SMM 2026, Liebherr-Components Deggendorf GmbH appoints Twinco Pte. Ltd. as its regional distributor in Asia for fuel injection components used in maritime and industrial engine applications.
As part of Liebherr’s fuel injection portfolio, diesel common rail systems find their use in engines of different manufacturers worldwide – including Yuchai, SNAT and Weichai. The new cooperation represents Liebherr-Components’ first distribution agreement in this field with an independent aftermarket distributor.
Being a member of the Italian-based Zephyr Group, Twinco will support Liebherr in gaining a broader and faster access to the aftermarket, leveraging an established network of end customers and service workshops already sourcing maritime engine spare parts from Twinco’s and Zephyr Group’s extensive stock and supply platform.
Based in Singapore, Twinco has a strong presence across the Far East and Pacific markets, as well as the Middle East: For more than three decades, the company has built its position in the region by supplying high-quality European engine components and technical solutions to maritime and industrial customers. The new agreement with Liebherr further strengthens this positioning, bringing additional German engineering and fuel injection technology closer to customers.
Twinco also actively works together with its sister companies – Skandiaverken in Spain, PK OEM Parts in the Netherlands, Carl Baguhn Hamburg in Germany and Carl Baguhn Barranquilla in Colombia. “Zephyr Group is a leading global independent provider of spare parts, workshop and onsite services for large maritime-type engines; its international footprint and consolidated global customer base will further support the partnership with Liebherr beyond Twinco’s core Asian markets,” explains Olav Altmann, managing director at Liebherr-Components Deggendorf GmbH.
The agreement brings together Liebherr’s technology and manufacturing expertise with Twinco’s aftermarket presence, stock availability and Zephyr Group’s global network, with the objective of making Liebherr fuel injection components and related services more readily accessible to engine operators worldwide.

Zephyr Group expands further by acquiring Twinco (Singapore) and Carl Baguhn (Hamburg and Barranquilla)
The group resulting from the combination will become the worldwide leader among independent spare parts distributors and engine service providers
Zephyr Group widens its geographical reach and product offering by integrating Twinco, based in Singapore and established in 1994, focused on diesel engines spare parts and services for the marine and power plant industries in the Asia-Pacific region, and Carl Baguhn, a 100+ years company based in Hamburg (Germany) specialized in maintenance, repair and sales of diesel and gas engine components, also active in Central-South America via its subsidiary based since last decade in Barranquilla (Colombia). Carl Baguhn, also a Volvo Penta official dealer, is renowned for custom fabrication of repair-size plain bearing, as well as for in-situ repairs for crankshafts and engine blocks carried out around the globe.
Before the acquisition, Zephyr Group was composed of three entities: Zephyr, headquartered in La Spezia (Italy), a 50-year-old distributor of quality spare parts (genuine and OEM – Original Equipment Manufacturer) for slow, medium and high speed diesel engines used in marine and power plant industries; Skandiaverken — located in Bilbao (Spain) and born from the merge of its Swedish activities with Kincaid (Scotland) and Echevarria (Spain) — a former engine manufacturer specialized in maintenance and repair services for 2 and 4 strokes diesel engines and authorized Yanmar dealer; and PK OEM Parts, based near Rotterdam (Netherlands), focused on quality and OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) spare parts suitable for Wartsilä engines.
After this transaction, the newly formed group will become the leading independent provider of advanced quality solutions for diesel, gas and new fuel engines, with a remarkable footprint strategically spread around the globe, capable to integrate into one coherent service provider a complete portfolio of spare parts and services, serving thousands of clients and their ships and power plants worldwide.
Existing activities and client / supplier relationships will continue successfully as in the past while partners, at the same time, will be able to leverage on enhanced group scope and different capabilities arising from each companies’ specializations, as well as from their combination.
“We are thrilled to announce such a remarkable event in the industry — said Paolo Castagnet, Managing Director of Zephyr Group – the combined strengths of the six entities will allow their respective clients and suppliers to extract additional value: consolidating the industry will bring unimaginable benefits to all stakeholders”
